Terms and Conditions for ExpanTLD.com Domain Registration

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the ExpanTLD.com website and the services provided for the registration and management of domain names, specifically within the .AO domain managed by the Angolan ccTLD authority. By using this website, you agree to comply with the terms outlined below, which align with international best practices and specific guidelines for the .AO domain registration.

2. Services Provided

ExpanTLD, as a licensed international Registrar for the .AO domain, offers domain registration, renewal, and management services. Our services include the provision of EPP-integrated, customizable storefronts for authorized resellers and registrars, allowing them to offer domain management directly to their customers. Our license for support and registration of AO domains is published here:

3. Domain Registration Policies

3.1 Eligibility for Registration
Any individual or legal entity can request the registration of a .AO domain that is available upon search. During the ‘Sunrise’ period, preference is given to applicants who can demonstrate legitimate ownership of trademarks or business names associated with the requested domain.

3.2 Ownership Confirmation
Applicants who do not specify a different entity as the domain holder will be considered the owners of the domain. Domains become permanent 96 hours after validation, provided they do not conflict with national interests, registered trademarks, or contain prohibited content.

3.3 Payment of Fees
Domain registration requests are valid upon successful payment of the indicated service fee and will be immediately available for technical configuration. Payments can be made in multiple currencies via major credit cards, PayPal, Multicaixa, or SEPA bank transfer to ExpanTLD’s IBAN.

4. Changes and Renewals

4.1 Modification of Domain Information
Users can request changes to domain information, renewals, or transfers through their Registrar's online platform. ExpanTLD provides technical support to facilitate these operations in compliance with the guidelines set by the Angolan ccTLD authority.

4.2 Renewal Notifications
Renewal notices are sent as a courtesy; however, it is the responsibility of the domain owner to keep track of expiration dates and maintain valid contact information to receive such notifications. Failure to renew may result in the domain being placed back on the market.

5. Obligations of Registrars and Resellers

5.1 Communication to Clients
Authorized resellers and Registrars are required to communicate updates and opportunities to their clients positively, emphasizing the advantages of new offerings such as previously blocked domains becoming available, rather than focusing on any price changes.

5.2 Technical Updates
All Registrars and Resellers must ensure that their online stores reflect the latest prices for domain registrations. Failure to update pricing information could lead to discrepancies and potential service disruptions.

6. Use of the Website

6.1 Prohibited Activities
Users are prohibited from altering, suppressing, or interfering with the information provided on this website. Any actions that disrupt the functioning of the website or constitute computer-related crimes are punishable by law.

6.2 Intellectual Property
All content, including text, images, and layout, is protected by intellectual property laws. Unauthorized copying, modification, or distribution of content for commercial use is strictly prohibited.

7. Data Protection

ExpanTLD handles personal data in compliance with data protection laws. Personal data provided during domain registration is treated confidentially and used exclusively for domain management purposes. Users have the right to access and rectify their personal data at any time.

8. Liability

ExpanTLD is not liable for any damages resulting from the use of information on the site unless caused by gross negligence or intentional misconduct. The Registrar assumes no responsibility for the actions of third-party websites linked from the ExpanTLD platform.

9. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from the use of the ExpanTLD website or services regarding registration of AO domains will be governed by Angolan law, with the competent jurisdiction being the District Court of Luanda.

10. Final Provisions

By using ExpanTLD services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions. For further inquiries, please contact support@expantld.com.
